Before on-boarding a new intern, make sure you have prepared a series of tasks for them to work on in the project you are sponsoring - see Scoping skill-appropriate tasks for ideas.

Once you have a list of tasks, you should create a plan for your intern:

1. Have them start at Getting Started with Minorio
2. Ensure they join our Discord.
3. Set up a recurring 30 minute weekly with them (could also be a team meeting if you have more than one intern).
4. Ask them to update their progress on a weekly basis here: December 2024 internship weekly progress updates.
5. Share with them project specific material (recommend creating a section under Projects for reuse; encourage interns to contribute to the wiki just as they would in a professional setting).
6. Create a paced plan for them to work through.
